the FARMHOUSE…

Tucked in …beyond the crest of the hill, overlooking a pond, at the edge of Cook Forest State Park is this completely and thoughtfully restored 1860 farmhouse. The house offers a secluded, serene spot for a quiet time of relaxation.

Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, gas stove, and small appliances. There’s also a full supply of paper products, so you don’t need to bring any along with you!

The living area has a TV with Hulu streaming and DVD player. WiFi is also now available.

The farmhouse sleeps up to six people in three bedrooms. Two upstairs bedrooms have queen beds; the first floor bedroom is furnished with a full size bed. There are two full baths and even an antique claw foot tub with a treehouse view of the old pines and hemlocks nearby. All bed linens, bath towels, and bath amenities are provided.

There is a covered porch off the kitchen for outdoor dining, as well as tiered deck with outdoor lounge furniture. Two other covered porches provide places to swing or rock away some leisure time with a good book or a friendly conversation. The farmhouse is equipped with a generator that will automatically start in the event of a power interruption and is big enough to power the whole house. There is also a firepit for those evening gatherings.

Our goal in restoring the farmhouse was to honor its history with the use of the original planking and antique furniture, while providing contemporary amenities to enhance your getaway experience.

A Special Note to our past guests… your beloved farmhouse will still be available for rental during the venue’s off-season (November through April).
